Filter and block Internet content

protect your children.
Children and
the Internet can be a good combination. Anyone who's old enough to have
children remembers how different things were when they were growing up.
Homework usually involved tiring trips to the library, where the resources
were often old as a decade or more. Those dusty old Encyclopedias were
good for entertainment, but nobody would have accused them of being up-to-date
and full of the latest innovations. Today, things are different. Many
children now have access to the Internet from home, and rely on online sources for
any questions they might have. When they need to know how the Italian government
works, how many moons Jupiter has, or what the dietary habits of the Stegosaurus
were, children today head straight for Google or one of the other search
engines. A wealth of information is available at the click of a mouse -
and today's children know how to benefit from it.
Unfortunately,
children and the Internet can also be a very bad
combination. Everyone's
heard the horror stories, and they range from bad to truly horrific.
Children accessing internet content that they never should have seen
is bad enough - nobody wants their child to be exposed to pornographic
or violent images. However, there are worse things out there, and an
unsupervised child could prove to be an easy target for online predators
in chat rooms and newsgroups. With more and more children now having
computers in their bedrooms, supervision often
leaves a lot to be desired.
You can't keep an eye on your child all the time - not without some
assistance, anyway.
Luckily,
there are ways of filtering your children's Internet usage. Keeping
an eye on the content they have access to is remarkably easy when you
use the right kind of software - and one of the
easiest and most comprehensive tools around is our Parental
Control Suite. This set of award-winning
Internet content filtering products enable you to monitor how your
children use the Internet. With the help of three separate products,
you will be able to check
your children's emails, keep an eye
on their instant messages and chat conversations, and restrict
access to websites with inappropriate or offensive material.
